I have mentioned several times a hadis for before of Mohammad (s.a.s) related to the meaninglessness of Saom (fasting), and Tahajjut (a special type of pray done at deep night). It is very much necessary to realize the factual meaning of this hadis for the actual aqidah (comprehensive concept) of Islam. The Messenger of Allah has said,- “Such a time will come when saom (fasting) will only consider as being hungry without taking food (i.e. Saom will not be allowed), and praying tahajjut will only be the loss of sleep (i.e. Tahajjut will not be allowed)”. Whom does the messenger indicate in this hadis? The very first thing is to say is, the messenger has indicated the populace that thinks themselves to be Muslims. The cause is why; he didn’t mention the followers of other messengers who known as Jews or Christ. Secondly, He has selected only two amals (religious works) out of thousands of works. One is the Saom (fasting) and the other is Tahajjut (special kind of deep night pray to Allah.). Thirdly, one of them is Fard (must to do) and another one is nafal (depends on the will of man). With the aim why the world Messenger of Allah has selected one obligatory work out of five and one voluntary (optional) work out of hundreds of works is, it is totally impossible to fasting for Allah continuously one month and praying the tahajjut regularly without firm physiological belief on Allah and His messenger. Even there have millions of peoples who have firm belief on Allah but do not pray the tahajjut. That means, the messenger points toward those who have steadfast faith on Allah, His messengers, Qur’an, and Islam. In this hadis not the monafeks (who performs religious works due to show others) have specified as the subject of discussion. Because the ebadats that can perform with an aim to show others like salah (pray), jakah (donation), Hajj etc. none of these have mentioned in this hadis. If the messenger wish to mention about the monafeks then he must selects those amals (religious works) that can be performed showing others. Rather he selects those two ebadats that is impossible for the monafeks and flaunter to perform, impossible to show others, and is impossible to perform even after the presence of firm belief. So, undoubtedly can say, the Messenger of Allah (s.a.s) has prophesized, ‘time will come when the people of my ummah will praying, fasting, paying zakah, performing hazz, and praying tahajjut etc. i.e. every types of ebadah (religious doings) but nothing will fruitful, no ebadah will approved by Allah’. If the hard fasting of one month, tahajjut of months and years in summer and winter sacrificing the bed is gone waste every ebadah is must be gone in vain. Now the question is to know is those who are not only stable believer but also pray tahajjut and fasting why are their ebadat go in vain? Further if the ebadah of such believer go in vain then what about the condition of others’ ebadah of mass people?
The only feasible answer of the prophesy of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.s) is, ‘about whom he has talked here are the so called Muslim populace of several centuries past and at present.’ Due to the perversion of aqida (the comprehensive concept of Islam), the nation has changed their target established by Allah and His messenger. More emphasis has given to the training of building up united, disciplined, invincible warrior’s character that is needed to achieve the aim fixed by Allah and His Messenger and other matters as well. Where main purpose is absent or perverted the training method is meaningless there (or bears no meaning). Therefore all the training like praying, fasting, hazz, zakah etc. all types of ebadahs are useless and meaningless. It is doubtless that, the current nation who is not only thought them as Muslim but also as Ummat-e-Mohammadi will be flared up in anger with my words. Especially that part of this nation will be frantic who has broken apart the nation in hundreds of sects with over explanation and analysis of din (Code of life) ignoring the stern warning and prohibition of Allah and His messenger and denying the serat-ul-mostakeem or din- ul- kyema (Denial of all the Code of life in every facets other than Allah, establishing salah and jakah.) as well. And also those will be infuriated who has reversed the aim established by Allah and His messenger, pushed the armed nation forwarded by the Messenger of Allah into the saint house with rosary snatching arms, converted the extrovert sight of the nation into introverts and made them coward, made the lion as rat under the disguise of the name of the Allah’s contiguity and the transcendence of soul. My humble narration to them is, Please does explain who has indicated in that true hadis by the Messenger of Allah (s.a.s). Keep in mind that, the Messenger of Allah referred about those two very ebadats as futile which are impossible to perform without complete iman (belief), even not with poor iman (belief) let alone the monafeks and and to show others. The reasons why fasting is impossible to show and performing tahajjut at deep night, no question arises of flaunt at this case. The ebadats that are possible to perform with poor belief, possible for monafeks, flaunter, are not mentioned here by the world Messenger of Allah. A true finder and sincere mind can able to be realize that, those are the aimed in the prophecy of the Messenger of Allah who have accepted manmade Code of life denying that of Allah, do not struggle against them who are busy with great doings (grand ebadah), not to protest against the result of accepting that Code of life i.e. injustice, iniquity, exploitation, and bloodshed, do not building up tremendous obstruction against the propagation in oppose to Allah, and are destroying the unity of nation with obsequiousness. Aiming this nation (Muslim), Allah said, - ‘You [true believers in Islamic Sovereignty, and real followers of the Messenger of Allah, SAW and his Sunnah (method of work)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Sovereignty and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (poly-sovereignty, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah.’ (Qur’an, Sura: Al-Emran-110). That means, the very purpose for which this nation (Ummat-e-Mohammadi) from whole mankind has raised up is to desist mankind to dishonest work (any kind of doings against the law of Allah) and to order them to honest work (doings only in the favor of Allah’s law) and for serving such job they are the superior nation. He or they who got back from the duty they have made for due to the fear of opponents, worldly loss under the excuse of ‘jeker’ (call Allah together in meeting) and ebadah of Allah, they will no more belongs to the great nation and all of their ebadah will go in vain. (Hadis-Tirbani)
One more thing is necessary to understand here. The word Allah used in Qur’an to mean good deed is command, in Arabic ‘Amar’. Only then it is possible to command when there is power to force the command into action, otherwise it is possible mostly to advise instead of command. Same thing is applicable in case of prohibition also. Only the state conservers the power to order (of good deeds) or prohibit (of bad deeds) the society, nobody else. Others only have the scope to make request or entreat. But Allah doesn’t use the word request; rather use amar (command/order), i.e. it have to done possessing the state power. Actually, advice and request don’t works here the evidence of which is the society of current mankind. It is clear from another ayah of Qur’an that Allah does not mean the method of advice or request for good and bad deed, -‘Those (the Momens, believers) who, if We give them power in the land, (they) order for Iqamat-as-Salat. [i.e. to perform the five compulsory congregational Salat (prayers)], to pay the Zakat and they enjoin Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Sovereignty and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, poly-sovereignty and all that Islam has forbidden) [i.e. they make the Qur’an as the law of their country in all the spheres of life]. (Qur’an, Sura: Al-hazz-41). Point to be noted here, what is the pre-condition set by Allah to order and forbid? He said, ‘if We establish them on power in the land (or a portion of land)’, because He knows very well that it is impossible to order man of good deeds and forbid to bad deeds without occupying state power. Prior of one ayah of this, Allah has permitted the armed fight. That means we have to posses the state power with arm fight and then order and forbid man to good and bad deeds respectively. Those who tries to serve the job of ordering and forbidding with request, advice or solicit, they are doing Fruitless toil.
