Hossain Mohammad Salim at the Central Conference of Hezbut Tawheed Student Forum

With the slogan “Let the power of youth stand for the laws of Allah” at the forefront, the central conference of the Hezbut Tawheed Student Forum was held. On the occasion of the movement’s 31st founding anniversary, the conference was organized today, Wednesday (4 February), at the Gandaria Social Convention Center in the capital by the Hezbut Tawheed Student Forum.
.
The chief guest of the event was Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim, Emam of Hezbut Tawheed. In his speech, he said, “All major social, economic, and political changes in the world have taken place through the hands of youth. From the French Revolution onward, everyone knows the courageous role youth have played in every revolution. In the Language Movement of 1952, the mass uprising of 1969, and the Great Liberation War, young people provided militant leadership from the front lines. Even after half a century of independence, youth led the July–August uprising of ’24 as well.”
.
Expressing regret, he said, “This power of youth has repeatedly been misused. By exploiting youth power, a certain class of so-called political and religious leaders have fulfilled their own interests. Many have usurped the victories of youth to sit on the throne of power, while others have grown enormously wealthy. The noble objectives for which young people sacrificed their lives have not been realized.”
.
Speaking firmly, he declared, “Enough is enough—no more wastage of youth power. Youth must not be allowed to become a tool for anyone’s personal gain. Youth power must be mobilized in favor of the laws of Allah. By harnessing this power, positive change in society is possible—and that change will be the youth revolution. Now there is only one path before the youth: to establish the sovereignty of Allah in society through a revolutionary transformation.”
.
The event was presided over by Rad-ul Islam, President of the Hezbut Tawheed Student Forum. Special guests included Hezbut Tawheed General Secretary Md. Nizam Uddin; Joint General Secretaries Rufaydah Panni and Dr. Mahbub Alam Mahfuz; President of the Hezbut Tawheed Teachers’ Forum Rashedul Hasan; Advisors to the Student Forum Saifur Rahman and Ayesha Siddika; and prominent online activist Asad Ali, among others.
.
Members of the central committee of the Student Forum and divisional coordinators were also present. Overall coordination of the program was led by Mokhlesur Rahman Suman, Editor for Student Welfare Affairs of Hezbut Tawheed. The event was moderated by Jinat Akter and Mugira bin Monir.
