floods. The floods, which have severely impacted Cumilla, Noakhali, Feni, and Lakshmipur, have caused widespread disruption, with many residents facing difficult circumstances.
 
This school, known for its excellence in academics and extracurricular activities, was hit hard by the floodwaters, which completely submerged its one-story buildings, including the library and laboratory. The school’s once vibrant playground is now underwater, with fish swimming where students once played. The flooded entrance makes access nearly impossible, and the classrooms are filled with water, leaving furniture and equipment submerged.
 
High SchoolIn addition to the structural damage, the flood has brought reptiles into the school, further complicating the situation. Vital educational resources such as computers and lab equipment have been destroyed. The school's tube well, a critical source of drinking water for both students and local residents, has also been submerged, cutting off access to safe water.
 
Students are devastated by the loss ofHigh School their projects, including handicrafts, wall paintings, science experiments, and robotics, which were all destroyed in the flooded lab. The agriculture club, which served as a learning hub for farming and gardening, has also been completely wiped out, with vegetable and flower gardens ruined.
 
Despite these challenges, the school community and local residents are determined to rebuild. They are appealing to both government and non-governmental organizations for assistance. With the leadership of Chief Advisor Mr. Hossain Mohammad Salim and Headmaster Mr. Rashidul Hassan, the school aims to restore its status as a key educationalHigh School institution in Sonaimuri.
 
The estimated damage is around two million BDT. The school has a remarkable track record: within a few years of its establishment on October 17, 2020, it has gained district-wide recognition. The school has consistently achieved a 100% pass rate in SSC exams, with many students earning scholarships. It has also secured first place in various events, including parades, displays, inter-district sports, essay competitions, and culturalHigh School activities for two consecutive years. In 2024, the school’s students earned second place at the sub-district level for their 'Smart Village Project' during the National Science and Technology Week.
 
The community is now seeking financial support and donations to help restore Chashirhat Nurul Haque High School. Their goal is to once again make it a beacon of hope and progress for the region.
